Ran Hwang is best known for her wall sculptures that make use of common objects like buttons and crystals pinned directly onto the wall of the gallery. Using each element like a pixel on a scren, Hwang creates oversized murals.

Latest assignment completed! We had one week to illustrate any scene from the first chapter of Harry Potter (I almost had a heart attack from the excitement srsly). And because I love my Silhouette Cameo to death, I did papercuts of course.

Taking an illustration class in the midst of all of this GD thesis planning and job applications is really a breath of fresh air. I had so much fun with this one although the background I can’t do perspective for shit so I just made it warpy and whimsical gave me a lot of grief.

I made a little “fairy house” today for any little garden/house/property spirits. Just wood, moss, and three glass pebbles. If I get the chance (and fine my wood burning stuff) I would like to burn some runs into the posts/columns, maybe on the base’s sides too.

It didn’t take long to make since I got the structure at Joann’s Fabric store. I saw some re-purposed metal bird cage ones at the Renascence Festival when I went, but I don’t know what metal they were made of, and if they were made of iron, it would be purely decoration since it’s common lore that fairies and spirits are dispersed by iron.
